What helps you focus? Like...when you feel out of sorts, what helps you feel like your head is where it's supposed to be and your skin isn't full of bees? Work? Sex? Fighting? What's your fallback coping mechanism when it's not a bottle?

Fighting usually. Sometimes working out. Sometimes sex. Basically whatever it takes to get me physically exhausted. I'm like... weirdly comfortable when I'm riding the edge of everything going to hell.

You wanna go running with me some time? Might be more fun that way. Little friendly competition would probably push me a little harder.

Sure. I go for a run every day as part of my normal workout routine but I can always run with you whenever you do so. Always find time to smoke your ass. [Friendly competition just meant no fighting.]

Did you know the lake is a whole lot bigger than it fucking looks like? When I get really upset with myself, I go for a run around it. Takes me like two hours or so. [Then she collapsed completely drenched in sweat but feeling better.]

You can try. I'm pretty fast. [ They'd actually be pretty evenly matched, Daisy imagined. ]

I do not actually get out to the lake much. Or the woods. I do my running in city limits. Less risk of plant exposure that way.

You know... I've never had the joy of being pollened. [Beau figured it might be similar to the fog her and Daisy first met in.] Or if I have, I haven't noticed.

My path about the lake starts close to the shore - not a lot of flowers there. But I'm cool with your route.

Me neither, other than, like, pollen season last year, cause you couldn't really avoid it. Damn mortal bodies and their need to breathe air.

I'll give the lake a try but if I trip into a clutch of fuck flowers don't leave me to twist in my horniness.

I might deny you for a bit to get you to beg, but nah - I won't leave you hanging high and dripping. I might be an asshole, but that's borderline cruel.
